SUICIDE PREVENTION UPDATE: RESOURCES IN SOUTHERN NEVADA

CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION (CME) OPPORTUNITY FOR PHYSICIANS

Introductory remarks will be given by Mayor Carolyn G. Goodman, city of Las Vegas; Las Vegas City Mayor Pro Tem Brian Knudsen, Ward 1; and Mitchell Forman, DO, President-Elect, Clark County Medical Society.

The event features a panel discussion from four distinguished medical professionals, who will each cover specific topics relating to suicide. They include:

Lisa Durette, MD, Assistant Professor, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Program Director and Interim Chair, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health, UNLV: Focus on Pediatric/Youth Mental Health

John Phoenix, APRN, FNP-C, Huntridge Family Clinic: Focus on LGBGTQ+ Mental Health

Richard Egan, Suicide Prevention Training/Outreach Facilitator, State of Nevada: Suicide Prevention State of the State

Luis Medina-Garcia, MD, Southern Nevada Infectious Disease Society: COVID & Suicide: What did we Learn?

Parking is available in the City Hall garage at 500 S. Main Street with free validation available inside City Hall. For those who cannot attend in person, KCLV channel 2 will broadcast the town hall live on TV, or it can be viewed online at KCLV.tv/live.
