The Las Vegas Medical District conducted extensive citizen opinion research in order to understand what the community wants as the district continues to evolve. First, an analysis was done on what information is currently available. Then a survey to the general population was conducted as well as a survey targeted to the neighborhoods surrounding the LVMD. Finally, the medical professional community weighed in and gave feedback. Currently available resources and research are listed here.
The LVMD is an amazing collaboration and so needed for this community. Once completed it will improve access to care, and advance health care innovation and research for years to come.
As the anchor hospital of the Las Vegas Medical District, UMC provides the highest level of care in the state, with the only Level I Trauma Center and only Designated Pediatric Trauma Center.
UNLV has a decade-long history of educating dental and nursing students in the Las Vegas Medical District, and we are excited by the prospect of placing our medical school in this area.
